1962 MG MGA Details

1962 MGA roadster This is a totally restored car done by a number of prominent Southern California MG/British specialist shops and finished to standards that far exceed those set by the BMC factory when the car was new. While MGAs were more of a mid-range sportster, this one has been restored using materials usually reserved for Aston Martin and Rolls/Bentley restorations. The top, carpeting and interior hides look quite original in style but are far better quality than what was supplied at the factory. Even the chromed wire wheels, a rare factory option, have been upgraded with 72 spokes rather than the 60 spoke units that came with the car. The restoration itself, has been done to show quality standards using proper nuts, bolts and fasteners. The British Racing Green paint job is of Concours d'Elegance quality and and all of the chrome and stainless trim have been plated or polished to as-new condition. Turn on the original AM/FM radio and cruise...escape time, you are back in 1980...in this beautiful 1980 MGB. This car runs well and is alot of fun to drive! And it gets LOTS of attention. I am selling my beautiful, four speed manual transmission 1980 MGB convertible with only 44,275 original miles. I have most, if not all service records, including original window sticker and original rustproofing-undercoating certification/warranty (the rustproofing manufacturer even still exists). The underside of the car is covered with original rustproofing. Car has been stored in garage when not used during summers. Car was not used in rain or snow (as can be seen in cars' finish). One of the most desirable of all MGB's--a chrome bumper, twin carburetor, ,knock-off wire wheel, 4-speed transmission roadster with factory hard top and stow-away convertible top. this is a rather special car, one for which we know the complete provenance since new. Sold new on July 17, 1967 by "T&T Motors" in Highland Park, New Jersey, the car was driven 81,500 of its 86,500 miles by its original owner who sold the car in September, 1994. We purchased the car, then with 82,574 miles, from that owner in October, 2002 and, in turn, purchased the car back from its third owner in December, 2007. Since that time, the car has covered fewer than 200 miles and has had heated and dehumidified storage in our facility. Olde English White with black interior piped in cream with convertible top, tonneau cover and rear factory hard top.
